Mickey Rourke Replaces Nic Cage in 'The Wrestler'

According to Variety, Rourke would play the character Randy “The Ram” Robinson,” an over-the-hill wrestler who returns to the ring for one last shot at glory. The role was earlier attached to Nicolas Cage, but it appears he’s since left the ring.

Just announced, "The Wrestler" with Nicolas Cage is in preproduction with a 2009 release. Big Thing! is the perfect indie film to make in time for the Hollywood wrestling flick.
